City of San Jose
The City of San Jose Street Smarts program is a traffic safety education strategy that aims to promote safe and responsible behavior on the city streets and roads. We partnered with the City of San Jose to undertake the challenge to change unsafe driver, pedestrian and bicyclist behavior through fundamentally altering traffic culture. The program partners and provides educational resources and materials to schools, community and neighborhood groups, seniors and individuals to help them learn about traffic safety, including pedestrian, bicycle, and safe driving practices. The program operates on a grassroots level and is multilingual, with materials offered in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. The program has since been extended to dozens of other cities and communities throughout the northern California region.
